Height: 6-5 Weight: 270 Hometown: Winston-Salem, NC (Carver HS) Class: 2006
Chris Hairston was one of two offensive linemen Clemson signed in 2006. Hairston was very similar to his fellow signee Jamal Medlin in the fact that he blew up at the Shrine Bowl.
Hairston was very impressive in workouts at the Shrine Bowl. He earned his offer and quickly committed to Marion Hobby and the Tigers. Hairston is only 16 years old, and he will take some time to grow. He has a chance to be a really good player, but he needs time to develop. Fortunately, Clemson has recruited very well on the offensive line and time is on his side. In two to three years, Hairston may be looked at as one of the biggest steals of the 2006 class. The Tigers landed Hairston without much of a threat from other schools. Freshman Forecast: Redshirt
