ESPN’s Jamie Newberg tweeted the following on Thursday morning: “According to South Ft Myers head coach Grant Redhead, WR Sammy Watkins is done. No visits except to CLEM[Jan.21]. He's all TIGER.”
Florida and Miami have been making a big push for Watkins with the coaching changes at Clemson. There has been talk of taking a trip to both schools and Florida was thought to have a very good chance to land a visit because Watkins’s brother, Jaylen Watkins, is a freshman cornerback at Florida. However, Watkins high school coach Grant Redhead told Newberg that Watkins is sticking with the Tigers. "He's all Clemson once again," Readhead told Newberg. "He'll visit there [Jan. 21] and that's it. Sammy feels very comfortable with his decision."
