Dang right that kid was brave, but what made his bravery kick in is that he cares about his fellow man and the animals. I truly hope that anyone that reads or hears about this story would do the same thing for other people and animals that are in grave situations. Call them brave, call them a hero but I would bet my life that he done what he done bc he cares about other human beings and that made him do what he done. If you care about people and animals, it's a normal thing to do, and it's in all of us that care about our brothers and sisters even when we don't know them, and nothing can make you feel that awesome feeling of saving someone's life bc it's something that once it's gone there's nothing you can do to help them get it back...

called out on numerous days by couple of concerned neighbors before this particular fire b/c an adjoining neighbor had willfully been burning mattresses & furniture in their yard w/o running water..
and Fire Dept, even after coming out previously two times, did nothing to stop this neighbor from doing it again!!

Chaos on our streets and especially colleges, when I’m a bit more discouraged than I should be about the state of our collective affairs, a story comes out that encourages and reminds me of the great underpinning we have in the US. To know that there are many like this brave young man, who will come to the aid of a neighbor, friend, bystander, at great peril to their own lives, reinvigorates me and my belief in the soul of this country AND its young citizens!!
Well done young man and all who had a role in making him the man we saw evidence of in this story. Well done!!
