But nobody really wants that job if they've already got somewhat of a name. Expectations are too high and the fan base is too fickle. Saban created too much of a monster. Only guys out of favor and young coaches too green to know any better would have interest.

No matter what the Bama AD does he will be greatly criticized by some faction

I think the highest profile coach who would take it would be Lane Kiffin. To him it'd be worth the risk of following the guy. Most others are smart enough to avoid at all costs following the guy.
