My view of last nights game.

I was okay with the fake FG. It just didn’t work this time.

I didn’t like the three missed FGs because the spot and distance was bad for two of the three. We’d have been better off pinning them deep in their own territory.

The missed FGs gave UT a lot of momentum the we never overcame.

I have no criticism of Klubnik. The OL failed on a lot of plays. He’s a freshmen and he made some freshmen errors.

UT couldn’t stop the run so Streeter did if for them. Big problem with that !

Wes Goodwin is not a savant in my opinion. He’s a rookie DC and is not aggressive enough.

Our team is too gentlemen like. We need a player or two to kick somebody’s @ss on the field once in a while.

We need a quick, short pass game. Second and four would be nice to see on a regular basis.

Just my two cents. Go Tigers !

Agree with quick pass. On too many occasions, we

need five or six yards and throw the long ball. We don't have receivers that can make that happen. Cade is going to be an excellent quarterback for us. I have no doubt he will be an excellent qb in the pros. A lot of his incompletions were the result of throwing it away because of a bad offensive line. The only think Cade did that was completely unacceptable was the failure to clog the ball before halftime.

The rest of the team does not look like other top, playoff contending teams. We look slow, don't have good receivers, or either can't develop them. Our defensive linemen, as hyped as they are year in and year our, do not look like Georgia, Ohio State, or Alabama defensive linemen. They just don't. Not sure if the others are cheating or what, but we don't look like them. And that includes Myles Murphy and Breese.

Finally, I understand not wanting to risk a million dollar career by taking a chance on injury in a bowl game. However, if you're going to opt out of a NY6 bowl, then just skip the season and let us get other players ready. McFadden, Breese, and Tyler Davis played and they may turn pro. That is why for Murphy, I really don't care if he goes first round or third round. I'd almost like to see him go lower. Same for Trenton Simpson. He was a favorite player, but he had no intention of playing in the bowl game. He played in ACCCG after the injury and I just don't believe it was what kept him out of the bowl. That was all spin.

Our program lacks toughness. We are not aggressive in mode of attack or defense. I don't consider ill-advised fake field goals on the first series aggressive. I'm talking about going out on the field looking like you want to be there and moving with confidence and purpose.

This is not just a qb issue. I think back to the days of Lawrence and Watson and we would have long stretches of the game where we could not score, or hardly move.
