A couple of related subjects?

No, I'm not talking about incest. I have included a poll. One of the two subjects is Predestination. Do you believe that your life is preordained?
This gets to be a tricky subject, because if predestination is fact, then God is knowingly losing some souls to Satan ahead of time.
This brings up the other subject, which is Reincarnation. If you believe in Reincaration, along with Predestination, then God must have the desire and ability to keep creating new souls, because if not, he would eventually lose all the old reincarnated ones to Satan, a few at a time. That's looking at it strictly in mathematical terms, never mind the religious implications.
Thinking through all that many times over many years has led me to believe that we do indeed have free will, and our lives are not preordained. Now, God operates on a level beyond human understanding, so, in His realm both may be possible. We shall all know the answers someday.

sense of all of the religious crap that's out there.
If God knows who is going to go to hell and who is going to heaven before the baby is even brought on to earth, then by allowing the children to be born who are predestined to go to hell, he is literally sending people to hell.

if God is omnipotent and omnipresent like Christianity teaches, then he knows from the start who is going to go to heaven and who is going to go to hell even with free will. So by allowing them to be born, he is knowingly condemning them to hell since he knows the end result anyways.
So either is is omnipotent and he's condemning people to hell or he's not omnipotent and therefore not God.

A lot of people think I'm condescending, for some reason.

When I was born, we were dirt poor. Less than $100 in our bank account. I grew up Baptist. Then the Reagan years occurred and my family gained a considerable amount of wealth. One Sunday my parents said we were going to a different church. My brother and I asked why, as we had friends at our old church. My parents said that this new church "fit us better". It was Presbyterian in a really nice area.
So, I guess if you are rich or become rich, you are predestined to be Presbyterian. If not, you're poor because of sin and poor life choices YOU made. hth.
