First let me say that CLEMSON will be fine no matter who or how many players enter the portal, choose to leave or just quit altogether. CLEMSON is CLEMSON and has survived the loss of many great players, coaches and administrators.

Players leave, that's a fact. Some get good advice and move on to a place where they may get more playing time or just need a change of scenery. Some get bad advice, they leave CLEMSON where they have so many layers of support and where they are groomed to be better men, citizens and at some point fathers and husbands.

The portal consumes more players than are ever resigned by anyone. So many players think they are better than they actually are and don't have anyone that will give them a reality check. The grass isn't always greener on the otherside and unless you are truly a gifted athlete you won't get enough NIL to set you for life and you probably haven't been taught how to plan for the future. Soon those athletes are on the streets or in a dead end job.

SO, any player that gets an offer from CLEMSON(and Coach doesn't hand them out lightly) knows that they will be supported, coached, get a quality education on top of all the benefits of being an athlete at one of the top progams in the country!
