he has it in him somewhere...
--Uiagalelei’s 439 passing yards were the third-most in a game in school history. His total broke the school freshman record of 435, set by Deshaun Watson against North Carolina in 2014.
--Uiagalelei’s 439 passing yards were the most ever thrown against Notre Dame by an opposing quarterback, breaking the mark of 425 held by USC’s Carson Palmer in 2002.
--Uiagalelei's 439 passing yards were the most ever for a Clemson quarterback against an AP top-5 team.

You’re not giving opposing coaches very much credit. All coaches watch film looking for a weakness. The good ones find it. And exploit it.

Coaches don't make him constantly overthrow receivers and hand the ball to the defense. It's all on him

Yes and no. If a coach changes a player's mechanics to their detriment, then they are in essence making them inaccurate. DJ is far less accurate this year and has different mechanics. Trevor started overthrowing receivers pretty bad his sophomore year too, he just overcame those issues through natural talent. The constant is Streeter. No one yet has explained why we hired the worst quarterback in Clemson history to coach our NFL-caliber QBs.

He wasn’t the worst QB by a long shot.

Hopefully you are trolling as usual or you just don’t know Clemson football. The problem was indisputably the worst offensive line ever fielded in collegiate football. He ran for his life throughout his tenure. He had games that he did brilliant things when allowed. He was also the toughest QB that has ever put on the orange. Your narrative is beat up like your pulse.

I dont know about Streeter as a coach, but you are right that he was the toughest guy on the field when he played.

Everything you said was completely stupid. Statistically, he's the worst. That's a fact. You can try to spin it any way you want. He's the worst. It's why he got cut by the Carolina Cobras instantly, one of the worst arena teams of all time. And it just proves how much of a loser you are that you care about a stupid little number beside your username.

Dear Mr. DeafOrangutan,
As long as you and your boyfriend keep watching "The View" as your reference for football, you'll never recognize how T.Elliott's and B.Streeter's coaching has led to undeniable improvement over the course of the 2021 season for DJ.
DJ vs. FSU was a good performance (not perfect, but good). The strip-sack-TD play by FSU's super-stud D.End was due to their guy badly beating the Clemson RT Walker Parks (who BTW is a good player).
DJ vs. Louisville was an excellent performance. One or two mis-fires does not negate the excellent job that DJ did last Saturday. (Even T.Lawrence and D.Watson had occasional mis-fires.)
Quiz: Do you think that DJ's improvement was due to (a) watching "The View" like you and your boyfriend or (b) heeding some good coaching (e.g., from T.Elliott and B.Streeter) plus hard work?

What you’re missing is the regression of the O-line. If DJ has a clean pocket he’s excellent. If there is any sniff of pressure he folds. Unfortunately our line is as soft as baby #### and he has some level of pressure on him 98% of the time.

You are very right. But not that much better! DJ is slowly getting a little better. I am quickly becoming a fan who expects a LOT more than he is getting. We are almost to the end of 2021 football.
