ETN should be the feature RB in Jax next season.

Meyer had him lined up in that hybrid roll before getting injured. He's too good of a true RB for that. Yes he can do it alland they should utilize him that way, but Travis needs to be getting the ball from Trevor in the backfield. They have major needs to upgrade the OL in the off-season.

I wish he had went somewhere else. Now whoever is the head coach may not like that type of back.
He needs to be featured but Robinson is really good

I think ETN is equal or possibly better overall talent than Robinson , albeit younger and as yet unproven. Only time will tell that tale. I do like Robinson a lot.

He will be the best receiver on the team if something does not change.

It's a position they should address in the offseason for sure. Maybe a good young Clemson reciever in the draft ...one Justyn Ross ?

I suspect Khan will go for a HC with lots of NFL experience. My top two guesses would be Eric Bienemy or Byron Leftwich.

Best case is a split. James Robinson is legit.***

Agreed. They both are dynamic playmakers.

What a bad draft pick though with all of their needs. It's not like they were a quality RB away.

Meyer was going to draft Toney out of UF but the Giants got to him 1st. so I think Meyer went with ETN based on his ability to play either position theoretically, and he is a homerun threat with that football in his possession as we know from our Clemson history ??

I mostly agree with that statement. There are a handful of rb's that are worthy of higher picks but that position is definitely an overloaded and overvalued one in many ways. In fact, our very own Will Shipley could be one of those future rb's worthy of a 1st or 2nd round pick if he keeps developing and getting better. He is already pretty darn good, so I can imagine in another 2 years he could be quite an offensive and special teams weapon playing all over the field. Just my opinion.

Has anyone seen anything re: his recovery/rehab?

Just googled and nothing showed up since shortly after he was hurt.
Jags sure could use him somewhere, they do not seem to have anything in the speed department.
Hope he's good as new next year.

but they have Robinson this year who is a top 5 RB

when they let him play that is...the ETN pick was puzzling to me but it looked good for Clemson. Robinson has the meat on his bones to take and give punishment. Thats what ETN needs to add if he's gonna be in the NFL long term. He's not bulky enough yet to tote the rock 15 times in a game.

They already have a really good feature back, so unless Robinson goes somewhere else, that’s probably not happening. ETN will get a bunch of touches though.

I have read, this LisFranc injury and surgery is one where a good outcome is far from guaranteed. It will be great to see him out there on the field HOWEVER many times he gets in the games.

I think the only thing Meyer did well was let ETN practice with receivers and route running. Him and JRob are going to be a great duo. NFL is just too punishing to run 1 guy into the ground all season.
