Facts is facts, The two richest quarterbacks in NFL history

are going to protest how unfair it all is tonight. And what will that accomplish? Nothing. Now, if you give 3/4 of that money to help stop violence, poverty, and homelessness...you'll help thousands, perhaps millions, gain "equality" and still be very rich young men.
https://www.thescore.com/nfl/news/2018047/report-chiefs-texans-players-planning-demonstration-before-season-openerReport: Chiefs, Texans players planning demonstration before season opener Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans players are discussing a joint demonstration to make a statement on racial injustice and display unity before Thursday night's NFL season opener, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. One possible idea involves both teams staying in their locker rooms during the national anthem. The situation is still fluid and final plans remain unfinalized, Pelissero adds. Leaders from both clubs involved include Patrick Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, and Kenny Stills. The NFL plans to implement more content addressing social and racial injustice to its Week 1 slate this season and is encouraging players to use their voices.Several teams canceled training camp practices last month in protest of the shooting of Jacob Blake by police in Wisconsin on Aug. 23. Players have been vocal in demonstrations since the incident, and a few prominent Black players discussed sitting out a game to force action. Some NFL players have chosen to stay off the field until after the national anthem in recent years. The league has never disciplined athletes for demonstrating during the anthem, an agreement that remains in place with the NFLPA.

If you don't agree with what they're doing,TRY to ignore it. At the very least, don't shine a spotlight on it.

If not, you should learn more about him. DW4 represents Clemson and the community well.

He understands what it is like to grow up aa a black child and man. However does he understand what sacrifices were given to make America the country that it is today? The killing of the blacks that make the news is a very small number of people and in most cases they were criminals. How many men and women died for our nation to be free? When they protest the National Anthem and our Flag, they disrespect America. They are not experienced adults who appreciate what they have. They are living the American dream and are treated like heroes. They don’t deserve to be treated like heroes. Football is just a sport. I am not watching the game based on them staying in the locker room.

To be fair, wouldn't black people no more than anyone about the sacrifices that were given to make America great?

Most American families have members that sacrificed in a number of different ways throughout our history to make American great. Lives lost to form this country, lives lost to fight tyranny around the world. Many children and women have lost fathers/husbands, others have lost children. The list is long.

You comments on DW4's "experience" indicate you don't know a lot about his upbringing and life.
Speaking on his "lack of appreciation" days after seeing him cry like a baby that he got to share a moment with his family after becoming so rich is a swing and a miss on your part.
He remembers exactly where he came from and that's why he is so passionate in all of his beliefs.

his economic situation has nothing to do with anything. He isn't "protesting" anything, let alone "how unfair it all is". He is demonstrating for racial equality. Did you read your own link?
You thinking that stopping violence, poverty, and homelessness is the path towards racial equality is downright ignorant.

So because they're rich they aren't supposed to care about anyone else?

I think both of these young men are fine examples of the American dream and what is possible with dedication and hard work.
I also think the biggest problem in this country (currently) is that so many people have the mindset that anyone who doesn't agree 100% with their point of view is an "idiot". We no longer debate. Instead, we attack. We no longer listen. Instead, we talk louder.

These two young men do alot for charity and their communities, obviously you didn't try reading up on them before typing this garbage. I'm glad they're protesting, hope all the big time players protest in some form or fashion, don't like it, dont watch it. This league is #### near 80% black, the players have the power and now they know it. Proud of these two brothers!

They have a lot of power. It's a star driven league that is a cash cow for the owners too. They care what the star players think. The owners also don't want to ruin their organization. You have to be able to sign free agents.

Star players have power in the league, especially QBs. The value of an organization will change by 100's of millions of dollars if they have right star players. Guys like Mahomeboy and Deshaun have a crazy amount of power with their owners. QB's like them don't grow on trees. Bob Kraft bought the Patriots for 177 million in 1994 when they kind of were a scrub organization. The Pats are worth close to 4 billion now.
