He’s a great coach. He’s just getting started though. Great things ahead for him.

Clemson is definitely a top 10-15 program.

9th in all time wins overall, and 11th all-time in CWS appearances. The only thing we're missing is hardware from Omaha. We're 1 spot behind Florida State.. 2nd most accomplished team without a championship. If we did better there and finally got some hardware, then we could be top 5 or 10 for sure.
What's so funny about that?

Clemson is currently irrelevant in baseball and has been for quite some time. That’s not too funny

Again, great coach and the sky is the limit, but there is mowing the lawn and then there is flying at 30k ft. He’s mowed some pretty lawns.

North Greenvilles coach has now won a National Championship, been to the CWS 3 times, is a CWS hall of fame catcher, a first round draft pick, played for the A’s, played for a hall of fame 2 time Natty winner, caught for the USA team and won a gold medal, is a relentless recruiter, knows everybody and their brother who has played baseball, can call front offices in the majors and them actually take his call, and hasn’t taken some other job that everybody said he needed to take because he loves Greenville and loves his team and wanted to win a Natty. So I ask you, who is not ready?

I thought I was clear the first time I said he wasn’t ready. You’re free to disagree as do I you, but you’re not going to convince me with facts I can google. Hope this helps.

Irrelevant is a pretty strong term to use. They haven't performed well for several years, but not sure you use the word Irrelevant. They have a player named a finalist for player of the year, so that means the capacity to recruit is still there. They have players drafted or signing FA deals to play at the next level, facilities are top 10,15. The way you talk why would a coach the caliber of Powell want to take the job at Clemson if the program couldn't compete nationally.

are you having trouble with.
Powell does not have the experience for a top tier program right now. It's just as simple as that. He's not being considered nor will he considered for the Clemson program. You've made your opinion known, but it will change nothing. Probably best to just move on.

He is wicked smart forgot to mention that one. And he is whatever the equivalent of a gym rat in baseball is. He will be the next coach at Carolina and I can assure you he is ready. Think we could get him though.

He will get a look, but I'm pretty sure that Neff is looking for experience on the top level in D1. We'll see.

He very well may be a future Hall of Fame D-1 coach, however the fact of the matter is he fairly recent was and I’m sure still does consider himself a gamecock. And in this state, that matters whether you agree or not.
I do expect him to get a strong look from S.Carolina when they fire their coach, so we may see him soon enough. You have to remember though, as he moves up, he will be coaching against multiple teams who have their own version of a Landon Powell. It’s much tougher to create a gap in the sec than it is at N. Greenville.

Yep, and he’s very good a getting D1 players to play for a D2 school from that portal. It will be a different set of circumstances when he moves up to a D1 school and it won’t come as easy. Not under selling his ability as a coach, just stating that he’s had an advantage that he won’t have at the D1 level.

Speaking of SC baseball I wonder why they do not have a job opening? It is not like MK is lighting it up in Columbia.
