Interesting information on today's world

Overheard my boss man speaking this morning and learned something new. Maybe others have heard of this but I was in a state of shock and realizing the rate at which society has fallen.
His grand daughter was accepted to one of the prep schools in our area. Well they have informed the parents of an upcoming board meeting and a couple of topics that will be discussed.
First they wanted to let the parents know that they had a 13 year old kid coming in next year that was a biological male but identifies as a female and he would be using the girls bathrooms.
2nd they also have a kid that identifies as a cat. Apparently they are called furries?? They wanted to inform the parents that a litter box would be placed in the bathroom to accomodate his/her identity.
Another guy spoke up and said at Southpoint High School they already have a cat and she wears the ears and tail and will meow in the hall ways. His son was told not to wear a hat in the classroom because it was deemed a distraction but this him/her can sit in class with cat ears and a tail.
Story just blew my mind maybe you all have already heard about this craziness but if you had not thought it might be of some interest.

Back when I was in school if we would have seen someone doing there business in a litter box there would have been some bigger problems.

If someone identifies as a dog, can they chase the cat?

High dollar prep school ought to have a few uni-sex bathrooms …. Or a porta-potty?
Is the furry up to date on rabies and other feline shots. Never mind, immunizations shouldn’t be required for school attendance.

The parents make accomodations for him/her at home and the school says federal law requires them too. Never heard of any federal law that requires a school to cater to a human cat.

Him and around 4 other of his relatives plan on attending the meeting. They had sent out the topics that were going to be talked about to give the parents a heads up. Wish I was lying. Dang people are crazy.

Yea if it would not have come from this guy I would definitely be wondering, but this guy is not going to joke about something like this. He is pretty shocked as well and could possibly be one we see on the news when open discussions begin.
I can be creative at some things but not sure anyone could make up something like this. At least the school is letting the parents know instead of them hearing it from their kids.

I was just passing on what I heard to see if anyone else had heard about it. I couldn't give a xxxx if you believe it or not. I can give you an address if you want to go sit in.
So you think because people have made up a story that it means it will never happen?

or thinking it is representative of some moral decline is stupid.
It is just another urban legend hyper-triggered "good christian folks" clutch their pearls over before doing a two second google search to find the top hit that this is making the rounds online but lacks any substantive evidence of it actually happening, much less representing some fundamental shift in the moral compass of today's youths and therein school systems.

So no fundamental shift. So guys at your schools used the girls restrooms and vice versa. If you cant see the moral decline then you must live in a fog. We didnt have this sort of thing when I was in school and it was never even talked about.

I don't consider statistically non-existent outliers as representative of anything at all except statistically insignificant outliers. I also don't consider urban legends worthy of "passing along."

forcing schools to put litter boxes in the bathroom," I'd say, "Sure, Bob." while thinking, "This sounds too stupid to be true." I'd then go back to my office and google for "students, cats" and see what comes up. If the first headline in the return is an NBC article that reads, "How an urban myth about litter boxes in schools became a GOP talking point," I'd probably be like, "Bob is a rube," or, "Someone in the school district is a rube and feeding Bob and other parents pretty crappy information."
Or if you're feeling bold, maybe send Bob the article and say, "You don't have anything to worry about Bob except the quality of leadership within your posh prep school that don't realize they're being duped by tik-tokkers."

NBC is about like CNN and why both networks are in decline. If they dont agree with something they will "fact check" and let everyone know that it is false. Their fact checkers are routinely debunked.
Had not even thought about googling it but if it had anything about NBC I would not have wasted my time reading it anyways.

Yep that is exactly what someone said when he was telling us about it.

Like I said you can take yourself and your pearls to the meeting and let us know what you find out about the "urban legend." Outliers is why I shared it because I thought it so stupid.
Mocking me makes me no difference. Says more about you imo. Best you just put me on the ole IGNORE. Conversating with people like you is useless. State a simple story I heard and you are hell bent on refuting everything.
It was just simple info about a school board meeting.

Sufficiently is that what you call it. You just brought up "Christian folks, and pearls" and said you were mocking me.
If you are so confident in your opinion go check it out, and if you are not, just keep disagreeing with everything you dont believe in and call it "urban legend."
Mocking people or talking down to folks does not change reality. Probably makes you feel good though LOL.

A new one, but an urban legend nonetheless. Up there with cartels putting fent in halloween candy so kids get addicted but somehow don't die.
Did the school email parents about that as well?

Not that anyone is denying that it is an incredibly lethal substance responsible for the lion's share of ODs, but that there is a logical disconnect in dire warnings about cops dropping from coming in close proximity to fent, and suggesting your kids may ingest fent-laced candy and not immediately explode. talking points don't track.

Me and the wife have talked about this and make no sense of what it does. I have heard that coming in close contact can mess you up and then I have heard it does not, but the cops do wear the latex gloves so it must or has done something to someone. It may just be how much of it you injest or come in contact with. Its like Meth. How does anyone injest that stuff and live knowing what it takes to make it and what is the limit to how much will kill you!
Also my OP was not intended on causing any type of disagreements. I had never heard of it before until it was brought to his attention that is was going to be discussed in the meeting. I was more curious as to if anyone else had heard of this. I surely had not.

Toxicologists in this area emphatically say

it is impossible for officers to have such reactions from contact with fent. This is not to say that the reactions officers have are not genuine, but they are most likely panic attacks.
In other words, fent is incredibly dangerous, but it is not absorbed through the skin on contact, and sudden gusts of wind can't magically blow it in your face and all of a sudden you're dead.
