Do the people voting for college football actually watch the teams they are voting for? Auburn just like some others in the top are way over rated. If sec is so bad how is it two weak teams from a weak conference come in and do what they have done to the established sec teams(sc since 1992). These teams were playing with the same ones that they had when the sec considered them weak. College football is going to the dumps because of the $.

K State has 58 walk-ons currently on the team. 2/3 of 85.***

KSU shot both feet off with a shotgun. Should've you say? They should've blown the sec champs out. Dropped td turns in to pick, a butt load of missed fg that if made they win regardless.
KSU left a 30-17 type win out there and I bet it eats them up today.

But did they win? That would be a big fat "NO". It's one thing to hold your own,but it's another to win.

Maybe.

I view the playoff as a move to make NCAA football more honest. I'm not saying it's the perfect way but it's better then the previous methods we've had.
I know it's a force of habit for us to view the polls as being influential on selecting teams to compete in the NC game. I hope and believe that they will have very little if any bearing on the selection of those teams with the playoff system.
I'm fully aware of the voting practices of particular entities and that they attempt to place their favorites higher in the polls. I am also aware they place those in competition with their favorites lower in the polls in order to make those favorites appear to be better than the probably are.
I know that the process of biased voting is promoted by each and every ESPiN broadcast. Also, every sports hack get most of his information from the spin machine which I call ESPiN.
We all know the polls straighten out somewhat after eight or ten weeks and from there things look a quite a bit more accurate. The preseason polls still influence and that's what we are sick of seeing.
I expect this to end this year.

Great post 1988. I do hope the new system works better. I understand the selection committee is required to actually watch games and not just take espin word on who is the best. The ones voting in the polls should be required each week to give their picks and you would see the ones that are just voting for their favorite teams instead of who is better.
