Succession Planning for Head Coach

I never thought I would have to have to think about Dabo leaving Clemson by choice to any where besides Alabama 5 years down the road. Reading UT Longhorn boards he is on their list of potential candidates. Should the almost unthinkable occur, who would replace? Ideally, Chad Morris with Jeff Scott as OC but what about worse case scenario where we lose both coaches? Germans?

I'm thinking we go with Brad Scott. He has HC experience and spent a good bit of time at Clemson.

Oh Lord NO! Brad Scott is a Great guy! Excellent recruiter and mentor seems like all the players like him but not HC material. If we went in that direction, we better hope Morris and Venables stay!

I have a hard time understanding how you could even think our coaches would run off to a dumpster fire school after working so hard and long to put Clemson where it is today .
Do we have problems with our staff ??? NO Has Dabo , Chad . or Brent , reached our goals ?? NO Do we control the ACC??? NO Would you QUIT building something , that is only half way ??? NO Do you read the national enquirer ??? Teams desperate for a good coach will want any winner . Take it as a complement , Dabo is A Clemson Man until we run him off .

Hey I don't think he is going anywhere nor should he, but its worth speculating for a message board. I guarantee the Athletic Department has a plan should Dabo leave and so it worth a general post. I have not seen Dabo's name come up as a replacement from any sports analyst. It has come up in UT's Fan Boards however with some people showing a lot of affection (which is bitter sweet). Long live Dabo, and forever Clemson. Consider this topic closed - Amen.
