Such a crazy year. Mac Jones has played exceptional. Devonta Smith has been unstoppable. Najee Harris has been a force. We can only wonder what kind of production Trevor might have had if the virus had not been in play...
Either way, that Bama O is gonna be tough to stop!

Mac Jones has good stats, but the award is supposed to go to the best player.

I seriously doubt that the Alabama players or coaches would take Jones over Trevor

Yes sir, that is what we heard about Bama in the last NCG we played them. All we heard from the media weeks before the 2018 NCG, was how Bammee was going to roll over little ole Clemson, how did that turn out. Talk don't score points, never has, never will, just spot the freaking ball and blow the whistle, Go Tigerssss!!!!

Regardless of how the Heisman is purported to be awarded, the only way Trevor takes the Heisman is if Bama loses to Notre Dame and Clemson beats Ohio State.

Those games will have absolutely no impact on the Heisman. Voting is already closed.

A stat award isn't going to make or break Trevor Lawrence, but I would that NFL coaches knows before Trevor ever plays a down of Pro FB, what it would mean, and what he would be worth if was throwing the ball for their team, a fortune!!!

It would be a minor miracle if voters actually voted for a Tiger to win the Heisman.
It’s political with marketing implications, that’s why they don’t wait until after the season.
We need another award that is big for after the season. (Put $500,000 in a trust for the winner) it would instantly become the most important award. The Dabo Award ??

Is my math bad or is 7/5 not better than 4/7?

Your interpretation is bad. In odds-to-win, the smaller the fraction means the better the odds that team/individual will win. The fraction is how much money you get back on your bet.
If you bet $100 on Mac Jones at 7/5, you would win $140. If you bet $100 on Devonta Smith at 4/7, you would win $57.
Smith is more likely to win, so his payout is lower.
