Tigers signee receives release from Clemson letter of intent

All in is the football team. A lot of our bball players aren’t all in.

Many come in halfway thru via transfer so they’re half in. Others transfer out so they’re not all in. Only a few are truly all in. If you’re gonna run your team heavily off the transfer portal, can’t use the term all in.

Wow! Just detect that we are about to get a big time transfer wing or big guard. Too suspicious that Newman is transferring and then another wing recruit wants out of his LOI. Hope it's either Kellan Grady from Davidson or Daye the big guard from Florida International.

He's only a 3 star recruit and we did make it to the Big Dance. He is not getting blindsided by Big time schools so must be not enough playing time ahead...

Our typical recruit is a 3star. What are you talking about?

No doubt. Seems like there’s something brewing. There should be some exciting news in the next couple weeks

Maybe he watched Brownell decide not to foul the worst FT shooting team in the tourney down 3 pts at the end of the game, then realized a decent middle school coach knows more about coaching, so chose to play somewhere else. ??

Can you blame him, our guard play was very inconsistent

And our best guard last year Dawes, did not have as good a year as last year. Honor went downhill during season, appearing to lose confidence.

Guard play? Everything was inconsistent, and multiple

players appeared to go downhill during the season. I'm still trying to figure out what the deal was with PJ Hall. Early on he looked like a star in the making, showing poise, skills, and aggressiveness uncommon in Clemson freshmen. Then he all but vanished. Some players develop under Brownell, I guess, but it sure seems like an awful lot of them regress as well.

Kinda hard to know because it seemed like every time someone was getting into a rhythm, brownie would either a) take that person out, or b) not set up plays for the hot shooter.

The bottom line with PJ Hall....

Is that he was given the role of Simms backup this year. Early in the year Simms had a few ‘foul trouble’ games and Hall got more PT. Then ACC play hit...Simms had ref cred...and stayed on the court. With Simms and Bahre leaving...pretty sure Hall will be playing a ton of minutes and will be productive next season.

I keep hearing that, but it doesn't make any sense to me.

When you have a guy that talented, that capable of scoring and rebounding, why not let him play another position, find some way to get them both on the court at the same time? We sure could have used his production and his energy, and he would have benefitted from the experience.

Not saying that I agreed with that decision....

But that was what happened. For some reason, they apparently weren’t allowed on the court at the same time. I appreciate a guy like Bahre...and understand what he went through injury-wise...but ultimately those were minutes Hall could have used.

Whatever the reason, very discouraging. One step up, two steps back . . . that's us to a Tee.

Good luck young man, thank you for considering Clemson! Hope you succeed & make it to the pros. I pray all is well with you & your family.
I hope we can find some great transfers that fill the positions of need so we can run the BB zone, man and combo with pressure and still press the ball inside out or vise versa!
Go Tigers! Win the ACC & the ncaa Tournament

Maybe something big is coming and the 2 guys saw they are wood warmers. Maybe 7 footer Walker Kessler will come to Clemson from UNC now that he’s in the portal.
