And this week, I give thanks for answered prayers. It seems, at least for now, that the combatants in the Middle East have stepped away from the edge of Armageddon. It was looking very dicey there for awhile, and may yet get to be, but for now, things seem to have settled down a bit.
On the home front, a good week for Clemson athletes, not perfect, but pretty doggone good overall. I have seen a whole lot worse, and not that long ago, either!
Prayers to all who have lost loved ones. I am at the age now where I see contemporaries, former coworkers, and family and friends showing up in the obituaries. Such was the case this week, lost a first cousin who was also a former coworker. But, considering he had the defective ticker that all in my moms side of the family inherited, he had a good run, making it to the age of 86. He was married to the same woman for the last 65 of those years. Marriages like that are hard to come by these days.
