Was anyone else impressed with Coach Fedora...

after the game and his comments to Dabo and Deshaun?
I though his post game midfield handshake with Dabo and Deshaun was a classy move. He told them both what a great game it was and congratulations and to "win it all."
it would be really easy to be an #### in that situation considering what im sure many in the unc camp feel were "bad" calls that may have "cost" them the game.

Fedora IS an ####. He's a snarky punk that knew cameras were on him. His ridiculous 2 point conversion and equally ridiculous fake punt hurt the goats more than one bad call.

on those calls. football is rarely decided because of one play. there are a multitude of decisions and plays that ultimately affect the outcome of the game, regardless of whether the last play officially decides it.
but if he is an ####, applause for good judgment by not being one there.

Lets not pretend they don't know they are on camera and mic'd when they do these things. Still a nice gesture of sportsmanship.
Dabo is special because I really think he is no different off camera. What-you-see-is-what-you-get.

I know you're not talking about how he called the game but

I thought the 2-point conversion early on and fake punt calls were terrible.

maybe, but they worked out in our favor

i dont have too much of a problem because neither one worked. i also can't fault a coach for trying to be aggressive in a championship game.
i think it was pretty apparent that we simply outmatched them for the overall majority of that game, and if i'm getting pushed around like that, or if its an early opportunity to maybe steal some mojo from my opponent, why not?
unc didnt really have anything to lose. they are gonna go bowling, and they have one shot to possibly make the playoff. but they have to beat the #1 team to do it. if that was me, id pull out all the stops too.

How long have you been a Tarheel fan?
Just kidding of course. I was impressed by their team and Fedora has proven to be a quality coach. He still seems a little stank at times, though.

Didn't believe he met a word of it, he was running his mouth and came off a little to cocky last week for me.

some people have doubted "whether he meant it because he knew he was on camera," but it's those moments that often define you, and I'm glad he took the high road with his comments.
I can imagine what Spurrier might have said in that moment, probably something like, "Eat s&!t and die, mother f*&^%#!" So, by comparison, Fedora's ok in my book.

I was less impressed with him after I saw his postgame-whining regarding the offside call.

I was until he then went on TV 5 minutes later and started complaining. When Michigan State got screwed in Nebraska, Coach Dantonio went on TV and said that you have to play well enough to overcome adversity and the Spartans didn't. That is class and Coach Dantonio is a Gamecocks.
