I'm good either way.
What I do wish is loser of the game can not paint the flag on their field the following year. The coots use of the palmetto and moon on their field annoys me to no end. let the game winner earn that right. Much better than having some trophy that no one sees in a case for a year

Did they do anything last year around the Paw? Maybe retaliation?

YES. They stomped on the paw and took away some of the turf, danced in our locker room and smoked cigars. To #### with those sons of #######.

So, coots get what they earn. Just like our Tigers!
There are consequenses for losing.
The pics on the pitiful soul train after the game were even better than the flag being planted.

while last year @ DV same thing happened even if a bit destructive but remember its last game and the turf will be replaced anyway for seasonal grass.
Saying, all’s good compared to real crime & destruction!

When I saw that it brought back memories of Taneyhill scruffing the Tiger Paw after they beat us and how Clemson fans were upset at the disrespect.
I have mixed feelings first that the disrespect is going too far, but then this is the Clemson/uscjr rivalry.
I wish it had not happened, but I am OK with it (secretly inside, I like planting the flag)

Spray painting a Tiger Paw would have been better.

show their dominance by how we play in the game and not some after game shenanigans. At end of the day it's not that big of a deal so long as no property is damaged and probably not worth getting wrapped around the axle over...

Classless. Should not happen twice.
Act like you expected to win. Act like you have won before. Act like you respect the competition that you got on the field.

I didn’t like it. Win with class. Lose with class. Don’t think it’s good sportsmanship. That’s something the coots would/did do.
We don’t need to do that kind of thing. We’ve dominated this rivalry. Let’s act like it. Let the play and the scoreboard do the talking.

In the early 70's the Country Gentleman got in trouble for punting a rooster on the field before a game at Clemson! A friend of mine has a plucked rubber chicken he takes to every game since 1974 and tied to the goal post at Willie B in 1977 before the game in the Clemson end zone. He was able to retrieve it.

The coots took chunks of our field and smoked cigars in our locker room last season. It’s a rivalry and this makes it more fun. I see no harm

Any other opponent I’d say no. But these are the coots, plant the flag, rip up the sod, wave bye to the fans as they stampede out in the 3rd. I don’t care, that team and those trash fans deserve zero respect. Rivalries are about hate not being holier than thou

Scar did that to UT once, Tannyhill, I think, signed his name on their center placard and it was over a decade before Scar beat UT again.
I appreciate the celebration but this was over the hill, to me.

I think it's a cootish move - like Tanneyhill signing name at mid field at Clemson. Did not like it.
SCAR should have turned sprinklers on like UVA did to VA Tech.

As far as rivalries go, I thought we did a pretty classy job of being classless there, if that makes any sense?
