Leach and the Texas Tech Red Raiders put up 55 points? That was a long trip home.
Best to Coach Leach tonight.

Clipboard Jesus took more hits in that game than he did his whole NFL career.

Myself in my buds were firmly in the “ fire Bowden” camp after that game. We never wavered, and we right about him all along

We all were in that camp until the next season when TB ripped off wins against FSU (first time in years) ,SCAR (63-17) and Tennessee (Peach Bowl) to end the 2003 season.

I know what you’re saying, but we never wavered. the very next season he went 6-5 and the team looked terrible. We should’ve been four and seven , but a couple bad calls went our way against Maryland and Wake Forest And saved Bowden’s job again, I swear that guy was charmed, for a while…

I might be forgetting one but maybe it's best you stay out of Orlando when the Tigers are there
But yes, that 2002 trip was horrible.

His go-to classic response to bad football play was “they’re really STINKING it up in here”.
Boy, did that stadium smell bad that night.

At Universal Studios. They divided up the old Sinbad stunt show theater with fans and bands on each half. TT went first and all the Clemson fans had to sit through their cheers and their band playing, then when it was our turn the whole TT section got up and marched out. Was just us for our cheers. Biggest load of crap.

One of my first memories of being disappointed by Clemson Football.
That season was the start of "Clemsoning"
Best whishes to Leach and his family. He is a gem of CFP

With McNabb, in the rain (uphill, both ways, etc.). that was awful.
Local for me, and I took my dad (a 64 grad). That was the first (and last) time I distinctly remember uncaringly getting sloppy drunk in front of him. Just hoping the score would improve, beer after beeer after beer...

well, more just a funny quip. . . I was there with my great uncle, a wise and witty old guy, and it was, 24-0 I think in the second quarter (if I remember correctly). Still early by time, but the ship had sailed. He turned to me and said, "Matt, if this keeps up, I'm gonna start to get discouraged about this game."
HA! At least I had that laugh that day. There wasn't much else funny about the game.

I flew down for the game on a charter with work friends. Remember TT fumbling the opening kickoff then going like 95 yards on 1st drive with no resistance. Charlie took an absolute beating all night. I think they had Wes Welker and Kingsbury. Some Tenn/SC fans sat behind us and made fun of our team all night. I am pretty sure they stole my camera when I went to the restroom because they were gone when I got back. I walked the stadium grounds looking for them and would have spent the night in the jail if I had found them.

I have never seen a team so completely unprepared for a football game.
Until that moment, I believed Tommy Bowden was going to bring us back to the good ole days.

Game was played on Dec. 23 from what remember. Wife and I left N. Augusta day of game at 6:00am drove to Jacksonville checked into a hotel dropped the bags, got in the car drove to Orlando. Left the game with 8 minutes left drove back to Jacksonville slept a few hours was back up and left the hotel by 6am and was back in N. Augusta by 10 am. Worst 28 hours of travel because of the butt kicking we took.
