Honest opinion, more than Trump good, liberals bad.
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/24/business/jeff-yass-shares-trump-media-merger.html
Jeff Yass, a major investor in Tik Tok, supports Trump’s campaign and is the largest institutional shareholder of what will become Truth Social/Trump Media. Because of this monetary support, Trump flip flopped his anti-Tik Tok stance he held during his presidency, when he tried to ban it, to now coming out against the proposed ban. Does it bother MAGA that Trump is so easily and transparently bought and paid for, and that his stance on issues can so easily be swayed by whoever he financially benefits from?

He's no different than anyone else in the swamp on this matter.

to abandon him. At this point he’s down to just the most loyal stooges, the flag flyers and people who include Trump in their supper blessings. Look at his coalition, it’s the “permanent disability” crowd of destitute uneducated white people, internet edgelords and groypers, Fox News addicted grandpas, antivaxxers, and conspiracy theorists.
What Trump says and thinks today, at this moment, is all that matters.

And yet, he is neck and neck in the polls with Biden. And both of them won their primaries handily. It's Bozo vs. Weekend at Biden's. I don't get it.

is the tallest tree.
Just think about this critically for a second. Pretend politics doesn't exist and just assess the situation.
In 2016 we had a choice between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Trump won. How bad must Hillary have been? Then we had 4 years of Trump, with January 6th as a grand finale. We then elected Joe freaking Biden as the only other choice? And now Joe Biden is a mumbling, stumbling, demented octogenarian and we're limited to Trump vs. Biden Part 2? How exactly does the beacon of liberty and freedom, the most powerful nation on Earth, the richest nation on Earth, with 400 million citizens, wind up with such poor choices of humans to lead the free world?
THAT IS THE BIGGER QUESTION. Until the voters realize we don't have a democrat or republican problem, and as such we don't have a democrat or republican solution, until people realize that, we're doomed. Politics is a luxury well-functioning democracies enjoy when their government is working well, and is well-led. When the government begins to fail (as all diverse democracies do in time), politics stops having consequences as the nation's leadership becomes damaged. There is only one constitutional solution to our problems, and it will never be allowed to happen because those with power in our dysfunctional government stand to lose the most. We fought a Civil War in the past, rather than try this solution. And we will fail before this solution is tried. It is what it is.
I'm squarely apolitical at this point. And I majored in political science, and our scenario was never discussed in any POSC course. It was discussed several times in history courses though. We are on a road many other nations and empires have been down before. We are not unique.

We need 4 political parties. Outside of the fact that there is no Dem or Pub I can vote for, another reason I will be voting 3rd party (or not at all) is to hopefully have a good showing for another party. It will be a losing effort, but a great election to 'waste' a vote.

And, putting 80 percent of the population in underground pods and hooking them to the internet could be a good option as well. I think many would be happy.

Your math doesn't add up. Biden and Trump are essentially tied in most current polls.
One could just as easily point out that Biden voters will vote Biden even if he suffered a Fetterman like stroke without the recovery.
I don't know who you're running with but I can assure you there are many well educated doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc in the Upstate who will be voting Trump based on policy over Biden.
There are a lot of Trump voters possessing brains significantly of a higher order than an ice cube.
I agree there are those who seemingly worship Trump which is quite odd to me, but the country is pretty evenly split between 2 very flawed candidates and everyone who is voting Trump is far more than a few end of the road uneducated stooges. That same mentality is why Hillary lost.
Biden has to earn votes. He has yet to close the deal.
It's a shame there isn't a viable 3rd Party option that can actually win, but packaging every Trump backer as an essentially clueless rube is simply incorrect.

in an attempt to prevent a peaceful transfer of power to a duly elected president by force and so called smart people who supposedly dislike Trump would pretend it never happened in order to justify their support of him.
It's not just the Trump crazies that won't abandon him. It's the ones who should know better and just rationalize and normalize the crazy.
You don't even have to make up potential scenarios. They've already happened.

because it would help Facebook/Zuckerberg, who he has a personal vendetta against. So it accomplished the goal of enriching himself and his friends, as well as plays into his grievance politics that he is basing his campaign on.
